Fees and Insurance
Currently, I offer online and in-person sessions, with office location: 4708 SE 65th Ave, Portland Oregon 97206.
Fees (as of January 1, 2024):
Intake / assessment (~60 minute) sessions: $200.00
Regular (~50 minute) sessions: $160.00/session
Insurance:
I accept PacificSource insurance and am currently Out of Network with all other insurance plans. This means that clients pay up-front for sessions with a credit card; I provide you with “superbills” that you can choose to submit to your insurance company for out-of-network claims. Since you would be responsible for all costs incurred, I highly recommend calling your insurance company in advance to inquire about any out-of-network benefits you might have. A few questions to ask:
Does my plan include out-of-network mental health benefits?
What is my out-of-network deductible? (And what is my policy period?)
Is there a limit to the number of sessions my plan will cover per year, out-of-network?
What is my co-insurance?
Does my plan require pre-authorization for psychotherapy?
How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?
Reduced Fee Option:
**UPDATE: All of my sliding scale spots are currently full.**
I hold a limited number of $50/session therapy spots for clients needing a reduced fee option. If you are interested in a reduced fee spot, please talk with me first to see if I have an opening. If I have an open spot, I will request that you first sign up for Open Path Psychotherapy Collective, which is a “a non-profit nationwide network of mental health professionals dedicated to providing in-office and online mental health care—at a steeply reduced rate—to individuals, couples, children, and families in need.” Open Path charges a one-time fee of $59 for lifetime membership, which gives you access to affordable therapy for as long as you have financial need. Through Open Path, you will have your choice of a whole bunch of therapists who charge between $30-60 per session. If I have an open spot, and if we have agreed to work together, you can request me as your therapist on Open Path.
**While so many of our challenges are universal, I recognize that systems of oppression affect us each differently and in specific ways. I also realize that they create privilege for some while making healthcare that much harder to access for others. I welcome people of all cultures, races, sizes, abilities, religions, sexual orientations, and gender identities in my counseling practice, and I seek to create a safe space that is tailored to my clients’ individual needs..**
